Other heraldry

Some people who have an interest in heraldry as a hobby participate in the Society for Creative Anachronism (www.sca.org/) and other such medieval, living history and re-enactment groups. Many more people see heraldry as a part of their national, and even personal, heritage, as well as a manifestation of civic and national pride.

Other active heraldic authorities include the Chief Herald of Ireland; the Canadian Heraldic Authority and some unofficial but semi-recognised authorities such as the Cronista Rey de Armas (Spain). These are listed here.
