The coat of arms recorded for Robert Caldwell Hunter, father of Robert. While the basic components of the arms remain the same, the shield design is more complex and there are no supporters.  The blazon is: Vert three dogs of Chace Courant Argent Collared Or, on a Chief of the Second three Hunting Horns of the First Stringed Gules and, for Crest, a Greyhound sejant Argent charged Or.
