Tha mi a’ fuireach ann an Astràilia, far an d’ rugadh agus an do thogadh mi, agus tha mi a’ smaoineachadh an nis ‘us a’ rithist nach bheil e ceart ‘n uair a tha sinn ag radh “an Dubhlachd” ann meadhan nan Samhradh no “an t-Luchar” ann meadhan nan Geamhradh!

I live in Australia, and sometimes I think it’s a bit silly that we still say “an Dubhlachd” in the middle of summer and “an t-Luchar” in the middle of winter!

I truly enjoyed this article. I'm attempting to learn gaelige so it's fun trying to pronounce the names in the article. I sent in a DNA kit for me and one for my Dad. I knew we were English/Irish and probably some Scottish, but I now know we're primarily Scottish. The things geneologists can tell you from your DNA results is amazing and I've learned so much about my family, both my Mother's and Father's. Our families were mixing in low land Scotland before my Mom and Dad were even a thought.

Thanks again.... Jennifer
