I have been able to trace back many generations via ancestry.com and find that the name Adams while prevalent and having a long history in Stirlingshire, Carron Iron Works, Scotland, isn’t a well-known name when it comes to family crests or other information.

I had attended the Scottish Highland Games here in Phoenix at Steele Indian Park on March 25, 2012 where I met a weaver. From her I secured a small tartan that is supposed to be ‘Adams.’

As you can probably tell, my quandary comes from the fact that one can find Barclay everywhere but Adams is rarely mentioned.

Any input, comments or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Rose Adams
