Clan MacNaughton People

Alexander MacNaughton (d.1515)
Chief of the clan, Alexander was knighted by James IV for his services to the crown, and fought at the side of his sovereign at the Battle of Flodden. He was one of the few survivors of the bloody disaster, however, Alexander died two years later, leaving six sons. The eldest became clan chief.

Edmund Alex. MacNaughton (d.1832)
From the Irish branch of the family, he was recognised as the chief of the clan in 1818.

Sir Malcolm MacNaughton (b.1928)
A well-known British Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, he is considered a leading expert on his subject.
