A personal bugaboo: Scientifically, we speak of the “Caucasian” or “Negroid” or “Mongoloid” races; there is no such thing as “Scots race”! Please, can we refer to ourselves as a “Nation” or as “people” or “Scots(men)”?

Trivial? Perhaps. But, for me, the inaccuracy detracts from the article.
